Wise Owl

40 mins Ink drawing and Watercolour 10" x 7".

Wisdom comes with age or so they say. In my experience, it arrives sooner for some whilst others never quite get there.

This little guy is a paperweight and sits on my desk at work. I really enjoy using ink and watercolour, real fun stuff.

Flowers from the Heart

15 min watercolour on ink drawing

Painted the ink drawing I did earlier. Only 15 mins to spare so it was a bit of a rush job and I did not have one of the colours that I needed, but it looks ok nonetheless.

Sometimes a shortage of time can be a good thing, it means you do not have the luxury of thinking too much and what occurs is instinctive. Often that is the best way to go, just follow your heart.

Pretty Little Flowers

20 minutes or thereabouts - ink and watercolour on 10" x 7" Bockingford paper.
Unsure what these pretty little flowers are... probably some kind of chrysanthemum. They are much prettier in real life than my painting shows, but I enjoyed trying to capture their delicacy.
I seem to be painting flowers more and more, perhaps because they bring me so much pleasure.

Flowers on My Desk

15 minutes to spare lunchtime. Line drawing in ink. May add some colour to this one.
Simple things can make your heart soar. Flowers in a jamjar always make me feel nostalgic.

Waiting Time Wheel-y?

Watercolour pencil in Moleskin sketchbook

Poor old sketch, but it was difficult circumstances - sitting in the car late at night barely able to see and with nothing much to do for 10 mins, so of course I got out the sketchbook. I was surprised that I actually managed to get anything resembling a wheel and I did not actually see the result until I got home. Good way to use up 10 minutes waiting time though!
